Downtown New Jersey Excellence Silver Awards: 2013
The Cumberland County Parking Garage, Bridgeton NJ
TJD Architectural/ Engineering Design Services; The Parking Facility is a four-story structure capable of housing over 300 cars and was designed with high security due to its affiliation the Cumberland County Prosecutors Office. Due to the structure’s proximity to the Historic Vine Street School, and County Courthouse, the building was designed with historically appropriate façade treatments where exposed to the public, and received approval from the NJHPO and the NJ Historic Sites Council. TJD was responsible for the overall Building/ Site Design including Integrated Systems Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Emergency Service & IT Design). The project was completed substantially (.5 Million) under budget and construction completed winter 2012.
Historic Preservation Rose Award: 2012
265 Irving Avenue, Complete Care Health Network, Bridgeton NJ
Architectural/ Engineering Design Services; TJD was retained to provide Architectural/ Engineering Design & Documentation Services for the phased conversion of the former Irving Avenue School into a new multi-purposed community asset that will provide 15,000 SF of modernized space in the shell of the former School Building. Family and Pediatric Care Services will be located on the Main Floor (Phase I). Expanded clinical space, HC Accessibility upgrades and Youth Fitness Facilities will be provided on the Second Floor. A complete Dental Suite will be provided in the Basement story to complete Phase II. TJD was responsible for all documentation/ applications submitted to the NJ Historic Preservation Office (NJHPO) as well as the Bridgeton Historic Commission. TJD has also assisted the owner in the preparation and submission of applications regarding Grant Funding for the project.

Vineland Regional Transportation Center
TJD A & E provided architectural & engineering design services for the adaptive re-use/ conversion project of an existing 40,000 SF, former grocery store into a new transportation center/ bus terminal. The new Bus Terminal was designed to meet the requirements of NJ Transit, and their regional routes that pass through downtown Vineland. The project was privately owned, and utilized a blend of private and public funding. The project features a new Bus Terminal and related Platform; independent Taxi Stand and nine (9) tenant spaces that fill out the balance of the converted building. The Project was completed on budget (4.2 M) and received the New Jersey Good Neighbor Award in 2004.
